There are days I spend scouring the internet trying to find SOMEONE who has a child like mine. There are thousands of kids out there with Autism, but how many of them are like my child? You would think that we would have a 'special club' for people like us, but there isn't really. It's a very lonely and isolating situation.

I've had that feeling so many times. You always hear about how many kids with autism there are, but I feel often like I'm the only one in the world. That's especially true with having a girl. Your daughter sounds a lot like Janey, so although I'm sure they aren't just the same, I'm glad you found my blog!

ReplyDeleteHi ladies :). So glad to find you all. I have a 2.5 year old girl who was diagnosed with autism last May. I completely relate to everyone's comments. And I'm so excited to have found you all, I might just have to take up blogging haha. Anyone who would like to correspond let me know & perhaps we can exchange email or phone. I'd love to know some mommy's with girls. Don't know how to navigate blogs much but couldn't find a way to send a private message with that info.
